Fox To Cancel Only Remaining Decent Show

The network that brought you a Napoleon Dynamite cartoon eight years late is considering canceling it’s ratings struggled yet critically acclaimed sci-fi show Fringe.  Fox’s entertainment chief called the show a “point of pride” but said “at that rating on a Friday night, it’s impossible to make money.”  Maybe Fox should have considered not putting the show in the Friday night time slot where literally every show that has ever occupied the same time slot has been canceled.

The producers of Fringe want just one final season to wrap up the series, but Fox doesn’t want to spend money to lose money.  Fox could maybe, I don’t know, not pay Ryan Seacrest fifteen million dollars for American Idol?  Hire Brian Dunkleman back for $100, I think I saw him crying over his Whopper in Burger King yesterday.  Then they could put some of Seacrest’s fifteen million dollars into advertising their scripted shows, because like Don Draper said:

That’s what the money is for.  It’s really easy spending someone else’s money, isn’t it?

So Fox will probably cancel Fringe and there will be talk of the show switching networks.  It won’t end up switching networks because no show ever does, and it’s fans will be forced to buy some comic book to find out the ending.  Fox will then try to brainwash fans of Fringe to watch their new JJ Abrams show Alcatraz, even though they all know it will be moved to Friday night and canceled without an ending.

Well they’re not brainwashing me into watching Alcatraz, even if they did cast the big guy from Lost and that guy from Jurassic Park in it.  I need to know the ending, even if it’s disappointing like Lost

If you’re a Nielsen family, which you aren’t, make sure to watch Fringe on Fridays at 9/8c!  Or buy the DVDs!  Or just keep watching The XXX Factor and So You Think Your Fatter Than A Fifth Grader, or whatever.
