The evacuation plan at my apartment building is really chill. It’s just like “Go wherever you want, bro. Who am I to tell you what to do, ya know? I mean, we’ve all got to evacuate, man. No use being a jerk about it. Just do whatcha gotta do, dude.”
Or maybe it means there’s no use in evacuating because everyone’s going to die a fiery death and slip away into a cloud of black nothingness, which the blacked out sign symbolizes.
Either way, I don’t think that’s up to code.
